The Akeley City Council met in a work session Monday, August 17,
2009 at 6:30 PM. Mayor Scott Vettleson called the meeting to
order. Council members present were Jennifer Mitchell, Troy Hegg
and Cliff Johnson. Jon Johnson was absent. The Pledge of
Allegiance was recited by the Council and attending audience.
The Council reviewed the General, Maintenance and Police Budgets
line by line comparing 2008 totals with 2009 totals through July 31st.
Denise Rittgers, Frank Thelin and Eric Klein were present to discuss
with the Council costs in regards to their departments. The Council
also reviewed Water, Sewer, Liquor and Park Funds’ revenue and
expenses comparing 2008 and 2009 through July 31st.
Motion
by Scott Vettleson seconded by Cliff Johnson and carried to adjourn
at 8:00 PM.
