WORK SESSION

The Akeley City Council met in a work session Thursday, August 28,
2008 at 5:00 PM. Acting Mayor Brian Hitchcock called the meeting to
order. Members present were Brian Hitchcock, Eric Sjolin and Cliff
Johnson. Frank Lamb was absent.
The Council and Frank Thelin were present to review the applicants
for the part-time maintenance worker position which will be paid a
wage between $10.00 and $11.00 depending on experience. Final
application choices were as follows: Tim Scouton of Nevis, James
Hudek of Menahga and Todd Rudquist of Menahga. Cliff Johnson, Brian
Hitchcock, Frank Thelin and Denise Rittgers will conduct interviews
for these finalists on Wednesday, September 3rd starting
at 10:00 AM.
The Council reviewed the General, Maintenance and Police Budgets for
2009. Denise Rittgers, Frank Thelin and Eric Klein were present to
discuss with the Council costs in regards to their departments.

by Eric Sjolin seconded by Cliff Johnson and carried to adjourn.
